About Margaret
Margaret writes about her love of painting:
What is it about painting? From childhood I have always enjoyed making things. I remember my first war-time paint box! But it wasn't really until I retired that I became more involved. Dry Drayton had just been formed and a group of us from Bar Hill joined - the rest is history. Now we have our own group here, and what a joy that has been - especially this last year.
I draw inspiration from the natural world and the changing seasons - be it plants, animals, birds or the weather etc. I also enjoy painting scenes of places which are special to me - mountains and seas, woodlands and valleys. My current task is making cards, cut out from an accumulation of the many paintings from the past years.
